Death By Client
*Archived projects are examples of work from past campaigns or assignments that no longer live front and center in my portfolio. These projects may have been archived for a number of reasons (they were old, no longer showed my skillset, etc). But keeping them archived here makes them handy for quick discussions and case-study references.

ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG
Sometimes the client or internal team*, doesn’t know a good thing when they see it. Sometimes the brief changes and these get put on indefinite hold. Sometimes I’m too attached to my baby to let it go. This page is for all those killed ideas that should have made it farther.

SEA THE POSSIBILITIES
DEATH OF: CAMPAIGN CONCEPT & ILLUSTRATION STYLE
For decades, the world has only seen a small part of what aquaculture could be—an outdated, harmful fragment of a much larger picture. But piece-by-piece, we can show the world the true potential of sustainable aquaculture. The possibility to grow enough seafood to feed every family across the nation. The opportunity to create more jobs along America’s coasts. A chance to restore the health of our oceans. Each piece comes together, to create a beautiful future where we all prosper.
This direction utilizes an illustrative approach, based on a building block grid that abstractly represents the ocean and aquaculture ecosystems. Each block can represent an [company redacted] initiative, pillar, ideal, goal, or partnership. The design can scale up or down as needed, from generalized aquaculture to specific species or locations.
MOO O’METER
DEATH OF: ACTIVATION CONCEPT & EXECUTION
From constantly wanting treats to non-stop talking or getting in and out of back into shopping carts, parents who grocery shop with their kids deserve something special—like a free dairy treat to keep their little ones entertained while they get what they need.
We could build brand recognition and enhance our image in the minds of the audience with the Moo O’Meter vending machine. This refrigerated vending machine will hold mini-dairy treats like different milk flavors or ice cream cups. And all the kids (or adults) have to do to get their free snack is give us their best [state redacted] cow impression. Nothing like moo-ing with your kid to create a memorable shopping experience that keeps you thinking of [state redacted] dairy from start to finish.
HELLO NEIGHBOR
DEATH OF: TRAVEL & TOURISM CAMPAIGN CONCEPT & VISUALS
All great connections begin with a simple greeting. A hello that opens the door to the warm, welcoming towns we’re dedicated to protecting and preserving—communities that we know how to serve, because we become part of them ourselves. We live where you live. Work and play where you do. And create solutions with you to problems that just can’t be solved from the outside.
NO PLACE LIKE HERE
DEATH OF: TRAVEL & TOURISM CAMPAIGN CONCEPT & VISUALS
There’s no place quite like Lander. Its beauty. Its character. Its kindness. Every piece coming together to make here, home. It’s that deep connection between the land and its people that inspires us to work so hard for rural communities like yours. To celebrate your culture. Protect your clean water and wilderness. And ensure everyone has access to everything that makes life in Lander so worth living. Yeah, there’s just no place like here—and together, we’ll keep it that way.
NOT A MOMENT WASTED
DEATH OF: COLLEGE ANTI-DRINKING CAMPAIGN CONCEPT
When alcohol isn’t getting in the way of your college experience, you can live every moment to the fullest. No hazy thoughts, blackouts, or hangovers making you feel sick, making you miss out, or holding you back. For a lot of us, college is a once-in-a-lifetime experience like no other. And you never know where the smallest moment could lead you—so why waste even one of them?
MICHELLE O-BOT-MA
DEATH OF: VOTING APP CONCEPT
What if we could give every voter a chance to talk to the former first lady herself? Unfortunately, she’s out changing the world—but we have the next best thing. Michelle O-Bot-Ma is the first, first-lady-approved chatbot that can help voters learn more about their local issues, candidates, and getting to the polls. Using some of her most popular quotes and talking points, we create a Michelle Obama-inspired chatbot that gives voters a chance to learn more about being a voter in an interactive and inspiring way.
CONTROL YOUR FUTURE
DEATH OF: VOTING CAMPAIGN CONCEPT
In our current political climate, it’s easy to feel powerless and burnt out—but we can’t give up. We have fought back with our votes. And the best way to get young people to the polls is to keep them focused on the issues that matter. Universal health care. Equality. Jobs. Through banners, social posts, and other digital executions—young voters can explore the issues based on what they care most about. Is there a time you’d like to go back to? Move forward to a better moment? Or just pause and contemplate your thoughts on big issues? With the possibility of animation and interaction, young voters can learn more about issues, politics, and the impact that we can make when we all vote.
TECHNICOLOR TRASH
DEATH OF: CAMPAIGN CONCEPT
Is the trash any place for the #P450-2 Tahitian Breeze that turned your living room into a relaxing beach-inspired haven? We don’t think so. By recycling your paint, you’re giving someone else a chance to transform—instead of turning a half-eaten cheeseburger, used napkins, and 12 chip bags into tropical-colored trash. So, next time you’re getting rid of paint—think about where you want it to end up? An ever-growing landfill or on the wall of someone who just loves how this room makes them feel now.
